2nd Grade
Mrs. Howell

Mrs. Howell is originally from Eastern Washington and lived in Wrangell from 2011-2014 while she worked for Alaska Crossings and Wrangell Public Schools. She has lived in Australia, guiding groups of students through the wilderness on whitewater rafting, backpacking, and rock climbing adventures! She began her teaching career in Prince of Wales Island where she taught for 8 years, grades preschool-12th grade, and coached cross country and track. Mrs. Howell recently returned to Evergreen Elementary to teach. She enjoys traveling and taking expeditions with her family in their boat, loves the outdoors, and enjoys kayaking, fishing, running, and hiking.
Welcome to 2nd Grade!
I am so excited to be your new teacher, and get to know all about you! I know that each one of you has so much uniqueness to bring to our classroom with many strengths and areas of creativity. There are adventures to be had with new challenges and goals that I know you can achieve. This is going to be such an exciting year of learning, growing, and becoming a class community!
